Sketching New Year's eve and New Year's day with Liz

Sketching with Liz Steel in SingaporeSketching with Liz on New Year's Day.

I had the good fortune to sketch with Liz Steel on new year's eve (left) and again on New Year's day (right) here in Singapore. We met on 31st Dec 2012 did the touristy thing and went to explore the famous Raffles Hotel. We eventually found a nice cozy corner in the hotel's cafe to drink tea/coffee and sketch.

As you can see, our sketching often revolves around food and drinks here in Singapore. We really love our food. I think we managed to show Liz our unique Singaporean hospitality and definitely fatten her with lots and lots of food during her 2 weeks here. I really enjoyed sketching with Liz and getting inspired by her. See more of Liz in action here.

Sketching at Tiong Bahru with Liz Steel

I was really excited when Liz said she wanted to spend 2 weeks in Singapore over christmas and new year. She first time in Asia and we were thrilled to have her sketch along side Urbansketchers from Singapore. Our very first ad-hoc sketchwalk with Liz was held at Tiong Bahru. TIA kindly organised this morning sketchwalk and invited everyone to join in. Eng Hoon Street @ Tiong Bahru, Singapore My warm-up sketch at Tiong Bahru 78 Moh Guan, Singapore My 2nd sketch with Liz.
